The german Stollen, also known as Christstollen, has been around for almost 700 years and is a family favorite throughout the world during the holiday season. 

Stollen is a sweet bread filled with dried fruits, candied citrus peel, nuts and spices, and is coated with powder sugar. Another version of this holiday treat is filled delicious marzipan (almond paste).
